Slovakia reintroduces border control
From the morning of 13 March, Slovakia restricts entering the country.
From 0:00 on 13 March 2020, Slovakia reintroduced border control at road border crossing points, except from the direction of Poland. Only those are allowed to enter Slovakia who are Slovak citizens (they have to present a Slovak passport or ID) and those who have a residence permit in the country.
All persons arriving from abroad shall be quarantined for a period of 14 days. Detailed rules will be elaborated for those working in the country but living in the surrounding settlements abroad. Those wishing to enter have to present an employer’s certificate.
Slovakia currently keeps their 3 international airports closed. International railway and bus traffic will also cease from 07:00 on 13 March. Freight and cargo traffic is not affected by the restrictions at this time.
